STEM Workshop: Teaching Economics through Math and Science

EconomicsWisconsin introduces a new workshop for Math and Science teachers at the Middle and High School level.  Teaching Economics through Math and Science will introduce economics and show participants how to incorporate econ into math and science.



Join Professor Scott Niederjohn, PhD., Center Director at Lakeland College and two teachers as they demonstrate lessons from the curriculum on Friday, February 6, at ManpowerGroup, downtown Milwaukee.  Parking is free. The Math Session runs from 9:00 - 11:30 am and the Science Session  is from 12:30 - 3:00 pm
Stay for one or both sessions! Lunch will be provided!

This workshop for middle and high school teachers is separated into two half day sessions. The first session will focus on math and economics and the second half on science and economics. Teachers can join the workshop for the entire day or choose the session that is relevant to them. Curriculum linked to national standards in economics and math is included.

The cost of registration is $85.00 per session or $170.00 all day. Curriculum is included in the registration fee.  Teachers will get Mathematics and Economics: Connection for Life when they attend the Math session or Economics and the Environment: EcoDetectives in attending the Science section.
